How was everyone’s 4th of July? I had a good week with the kiddos. It was nice taking time (ok, a week) to do nothing besides hanging with the kids. No classes, no special events, just us….it was great!
Over the weekend, Heathen Dad and I started working on the basement. Well, cleaning out the junk at least, lol. We are going to be finishing the basement….ourselves….yup home improvement projects….wish us luck. I am looking forward to having the extra space that the basement will provide. I am not looking forward to the process of completing the basement. Heathen Dad is very handy when it comes to electronics, but this will be our first major construction project. It should be interesting.
I’ve decided that if we’re ever in a position to move/buy a different house that we will buy one that
DOES. NOT. NEED. WORK.
Which of course is in keeping with my new goal… kids move out, hub and I move to a van, down by the river.
We bought this house new, but the basement was unfinished. It is nice having a house that doesn’t need to be worked on. The other parts of the house provides plenty of space, we bought this one because of the extra space the basement could provide. It was nice not having to worry about it when we first moved. Since we moved in the basement has just been a storage area for junk, but we have decided it is time to start making it livable extra space. It will take some of the book and craft clutter out of the main living area, which will be nice.
